I was born in King’s Lynn, England and presently make my home in Dunedin, New Zealand with my husband and four children.
I write works of fantasy with a romantic twist for people of all ages! My vision is to construct an entire universe, called the “Gyre Cosmos.” Each series within this cosmos will have unique settings and characters, but there will be a strong thread of shared experience through all the books. To date I have finished the four-volume Song of the Arkafina, the first of these planned series, and I am working on the second, called Sons of the Mariner.

hey, I am so glad for you, four books, wow.
You have been busybusy, thats nice.
Shouldn´t “Sons of the Mariner” be placed in northern Europe?

With Sons of the Mariner I made up a fictional location that was very much like Finland in the 1940’s. But I added some differences too! In my world there was an animal something like a unicorn running around…
(It’s great to hear from you, by the way!)

Hello There– I am new to word press and was searching o find a word counter widget. In doing so I found your June 28 2008 blog where you gave the html for your word counter. I’d love to use it, but I and a wordpress ‘helper’ couldn’t get it to work. would it be possible for you to paste that information again. I’d really appreciate it. Continued success with your writing.

Hi Vanessa,
You should know that some themes on WordPress won’t support using HTML in the sidebar. So it is possible that your problem stems from that. You need a two-column theme for sure.
I can’t put the HTML code in an answer to a comment, so I suggest you go back to the original posting and give it another try.
